Mary Lou Doepker
Marylou's broad education in the field of scientific liberal arts has earned her a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences from Florida International University. In addition to that, she studied chemistry at Xavier University for three years. From there, she went on to study advanced organic chemistry at Carnegie Mellon, which is ranked one of the nation's top ten universities by U.S. News and World Report.
In addition to her extensive education, she has had a lot of practical experience in her field. She's on the official task force for the CTFA (Cosmetic, Toiletry, & Fragrance Association), the leading national trade association for the cosmetic and personal care products industry that represents many names is beauty today. Another significant accomplishment is her past role as a Chairperson for the Florida Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
Marylou has also worked for Procter and Gamble. There, she worked as a researcher studying the reconstruction of essential oils. She was also the Technical Director for Solar Cosmetic Labs, an industry leader in sun care and protection.
After gaining such widespread knowledge and experience, naturally, Marylou decided to share what she knew. She was the co-author of publications from the Center for Science in the Public Interest on Cosmetics. She still earns Continuing Education Certificates from the Society of Cosmetic Chemists to keep her realm of knowledge current with new information.
